The Biblical Counseling Center’s aim is to point people to the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Its goal is to teach and to disciple individuals to be biblical in their response to life expectations and relationship issues. Homework is given to help move individuals towards healing and accountability.
Since the Biblical Counseling Center’s inception in March 2007 under the direction of Pastor Michael Catt, many have received hope and healing through gaining a new found faith in Jesus Christ. Yearly, our counselors log over 1200 client hours in dealing with individuals and couples, as well as children and their parents.
The Center counsels clients from about 35 churches in the local area. There are six churches and an association who have pledged monthly support to the Biblical Counseling Center.
Five ACBC trained counselors are involved in Biblical Counseling at the center. Additional staffing in the future will allow for the increasing number of clients and provide more opportunities to impact our community for Christ.
I urge you to pray for this ministry. Pray that the Lord will continue to guide us as we desire to focus on people who have a need for wise counsel and to take this ministry to this community and beyond.
